Bag’in outdoor furniture covers: protection for all your outdoor furniture

Outdoor furniture is an important part of your outdoor space and should be well protected when not in use.
1. Choose a suitable outdoor area for placing the bag

Select a sunny and dry day to ensure that your outdoor furniture is completely dry before storing it. Place the furniture in a suitable outdoor area, preferably on wooden decking or stone slabs. Avoid placing the solution on grass or soil, and do not place it directly under a roof that may be subject to snow slides during winter.

2. Lay out the Bag'in bottom section first

Start by laying out the bottom section, then place the largest pieces of furniture first. If you have a tabletop, make sure it is not lying directly on the ground. The furniture placed on the bottom should be standing on its legs to ensure stability and prevent damage.

3. Stack your outdoor furniture smartly and securely to maximize space utilization

To maximize space, it is important to stack your outdoor furniture smartly by trying different combinations. Start with the largest and most stable furniture as the base, and build upwards with smaller pieces. Ensure that everything is stable to prevent anything from tipping over. Any glass tabletops should be placed between the furniture and wrapped in a blanket or similar for extra protection against damage.

4. Build a top over the stacked outdoor furniture to prevent water accumulation

To create a top that prevents water accumulation, you can use a pot, flower basket, or stool on top of the stacked furniture. This creates a natural slope so that rainwater runs off. We also recommend regularly removing snow during winter, especially if a lot accumulates on top. This will prevent the weight of the snow from damaging the outdoor furniture inside the solution.

5. Watch out for sharp edges

It can be helpful to have two people when placing the top cover to ensure it is positioned correctly and to avoid damage to the furniture or protective material. Be careful to protect sharp edges to prevent them from damaging the fabric of the Bag'in. A good tip is to slip a sock over sharp table legs or similar edges to provide extra protection. This helps keep both the furniture and the cover intact.

6. Connect with a sturdy zipper

Make sure the red arrow on the top matches the red arrow on the bottom before connecting the parts with the zipper. To make it easier to close the zipper, you can lift the protective edge a bit. This will help you get the zipper in place without any problems.

7. Ensure the air vents are free and not blocked to allow sufficient airflow

Make sure the air vents in each corner hang freely and are not blocked, allowing enough air to flow in. This is important to ensure optimal airflow. Also, make sure the air vents are not hanging too low towards the ground. Fill the bag with enough outdoor furniture to keep the air vents elevated so that they allow enough air to enter and prevent moisture problems.

8. Safe storage over autumn and winter

Now the solution is ready, and your outdoor furniture is safely stored in just a few minutes. The ventilation channels ensure good airflow, while the fastening straps can be used to secure our patented safety anchor, STORM ANCHOR, which prevents the Bag’in from blowing away in strong winds or storms, especially if you have lightweight outdoor furniture.

9. Storing outdoor cushions

Always check with your supplier if your outdoor cushions can be stored at outdoor temperatures and can withstand overwintering outside. You can store the cushions in the Bag’in, but we recommend ensuring that the cushions can withstand temperature fluctuations, cold, and potential condensation before doing so. This will help maintain the quality of the cushions through the winter.
